Start Building Employee Morale While They’re Still New Hires


It’s never too soon to start building employee morale. Use your formal orientation sessions and your informal welcome practices to make new hires feel like part of the team.

Review your orientation process: If your company doesn’t already have a written orientation procedure and employee manual, start developing them now. Making people feel welcome and clarifying expectations is key to avoiding high turnover. Orientation sessions should include company and job-specific information and a review of benefits.
